Antidepressants may fail to help some autistic kids
Antidepressants have been used to reduce the repetitive nature of autistic children, but a new study from the University of Michigan finds that children on SSRIs that have autism are often not receiving any benefit from the drugs. There certainly needs to be more research done on the subject, but finding an effective treatment for autistic children presents several difficulties.
