Census Data Reveals More Stay-at-Home Dads
Analysis of the 2010 Census data has revealed that men are staying at home to care for children more than they have in the past. According to the analysis, about 33% of married men stay at home at least one day a week to care for children, and 20% are the primary care giver. The increasing earning power of women and the fact that more men than women lost their jobs during the recession appear to account for the shift.
