Government expanding E. coli tests in meat
E. coli cases are always popping up in the news, in different parts of the country and possibly close to home. In the past, meat industries in the United States have had to test for only one strain of the bacteria. Now the government wants the meat companies to test for six strains, but the industry is balking. They say that the test are too expensive.
